The HSBC Singapore Sevens 2016 will be taking place on 16 and 17 April at the National Stadium alongside the finals of the inaugural South East Asia Sevens which will be played on 16 April 2016.
The HSBC Singapore Sevens 2016 is the 8th round in this year’s HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. The winners of the HSBC Hong Kong Sevens, Fiji, will head up pool A which includes England, Samoa and Portugal. Meanwhile, runner-up New Zealand will play the USA, France and Canada in pool B. Third placed South Africa will face Kenya, Scotland and Russia in pool C and Australia which managed a semi-final finish in the last 4 rounds will play Wales, Argentina and Japan in pool D.
Current leaders Fiji have a total of 128 points in the series so far, ahead of New Zealand with 123 points and South Africa with 122 points. Australia and the USA are in fourth and fifth with 105 points and 88 points respectively.
The pool matches for the HSBC Singapore Sevens will kick off this Saturday 16 April at 10.00am and will end around 7.45pm in the evening followed by an exclusive DJ set from British superstar Pete Tong. The HSBC Singapore Sevens continues on Sunday 17 April from 10.30am and the Cup final will be played around 7.30pm.
Two-day passes ranges from $50 to $150 excluding booking fees. Children under 12 need only pay $2 for Category 2 and 3 tickets. All ticket holders will also enjoy a host of benefits and discounts at partnering outlets islandwide.
