As the title partner for Michelin Guide Singapore, Resorts Word Sentosa (RWS) presents the debut of ‘Art at CURATE’, a Michelin star experience. ‘Art at CURATE’ will be staged from 29 April to 6 May 2016 at CURATE in partnership with Michelin Guide Singapore and Robert Parker Wine Advocate.
CURATE is Asia’s first Michelin chef showcase restaurant and is located at RWS. CURATE provides a perennial stage exclusively for visiting Michelin-starred chefs from around the world to showcase their finest culinary creations. This inaugural edition of ‘Art at CURATE’ will feature three-star Italian Michelin chef, Massimiliano Alajmo. Chef Alajmo started running his family restaurant Le Calandre with his mother chef Rita Chimetto in 1993. One year later, he took over as executive chef and in 2002, at the age of 28, he became the youngest chef to be awarded three Michelin stars. These days, Chef Alajmo oversees the kitchens of Le Calandre and the family’s other restaurants and bistros with a total of five Michelin stars amongst them.
Chef Alajmo is well known for his multi-sensory approach to cooking and he has a penchant for exploring ingredients in depth to bring out their true essence and flavour. His dishes capture all the senses especially the sense of smell. With the selective use of exquisite seasonal ingredients, gourmands can expect distinctive food creations comparable to culinary poetry. As part of his desire to share his culinary concept with Singapore, Chef Alajmo will be preparing both classic dishes from Le Calandre as well as the fruit of his latest culinary research.
CURATE will present further editions of ‘Art at CURATE’ throughout the year, each featuring modern European cuisines. The visiting Michelin-starred chefs from around the world will curate exclusive tasting menus throughout different times of the year. During each edition, the visiting chefs will also collaborate with a resident chef to create a signature menu to be served at the restaurant between events.
