Little Mix will be performing in Singapore for one night only as part of their ‘Get Weird’ World Tour.
For those unfamiliar, Little Mix is a British girl group which won the 8th series of The X Factor back in 2011. The group, comprised of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, is the first and only to win the competition so far. Since then, Little Mix has sold over 7 million records, and has had two UK number 1 singles and two UK platinum albums. Following the success of their first two albums, ‘DNA’ and ‘Salute’, Little Mix has released their third studio album ‘Get Weird’. ‘Get Weird’ has since gone on to achieve platinum status in the UK and the single ‘Black Magic’ from the album has also achieved number 1 on the UK billboards.
Since their debut in 2011, Little Mix has been awarded two ‘Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women Awards’, one in 2013 and another in 2015, as well as a ‘Glamour Women Of The Year Award’ in 2014. Little Mix have successfully established themselves as one of British pop’s hottest acts, and have become one of the UK’s greatest exports, with massive tours in the US, Australia and Japan. They have since surpassed the Spice Girls’ long-held record for the highest debut position on the US billboard charts for a British girl group with past singles ‘Move’, ‘Wings’, ‘DNA’ and their latest single ‘Black Magic’. The girls have described their latest album as ‘a celebration of being unique and not holding back’ and evidently they have more then succeeded.
