The TLP Express Art Market will be held at the old Tanjong Pagar Railway Station on 25 March 2016. The Local People in collaboration with the Singapore Land Authority will breathe life and tunes from the 90s back into the musty grounds of the former KTM Station.
This year’s TLP Express Art Market will be unique in that visitors will have to pay entry fees in the form of food donations instead of the usual cash. The food donations will be collected at the entrance and dry foods such as rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, biscuits and canned foods are some examples of good items to donate. All these food collected will be given to TLP Express Art Market’s adopted charity, ‘Food From the Heart’.
The indoor part of the station will be transformed into a movie theatre by capitalising on the high ceiling’s acoustics. Visitors can make use of the comfortable beanbags or use their own mats to relax and watch the movies projected.
On the station’s platform, art, food and retail vendors will be selling their wares. These include handmade stationary, illustrated merchandise, home brewed coffee and much more. 90s music fans can also reserve an Airmock in front of the stage where covers of favourite pop and rock bands of the era will be performed.
