Robbie Fowler & Lee Sharpe in Singapore!

Liverpool and Manchester United Legends, Robbie Fowler & Lee Sharpe were here in Singapore last week and you’re probably wondering why! These LEGENDS, any Man Utd and Liverpool fan will squeal at just their name were in town to promote the upcoming Castlewood Group Battle of the Reds! Battle of the Reds is a match between Liverpool and Manchester United Legends in a friendly yet highly competitive match.

Castlewood Group Battle of the Reds

This was something that was continuously emphasized during the press conference; despite their age and fitness (or lack thereof), when the ball starts rolling, the competitive juices will definitely start flowing. From the get go, it was obvious that both Lee and Robbie were absolute pros at this, answering questions predictably yet with their own unique charm, Robbie especially as he was more than happy to get in some jibes at Manchester. While the topic of Brendan Rogers and his firing was an explicitly prohibited topic, it still found its way to among the questions. Check out Robbie’s reply in our video below as he talks about everything under the sun, from the state of the current Liverpool team and the subsequent direction it should be heading in, to Asian Football, playing FIFA (or his kids playing FIFA) and more!

The upcoming Battle of the Reds will be held on 14 November and include legends such as Robbie Fowler, Steve Mcmanaman, Ian Rush, Luis Garcia, Jerzy Dudek, Stephane Henchoz and more on the Liverpool side. On the Red Devils’ side, Lee Sharpe is joined by Louis Saha, Andy Cole, Paul Scholes, Paul Parker, Clayton Blackmore and more! PAUL SCHOLES will be there, making this an absolute must for all Red Devils die-hards! Interestingly, it was revealed that the initial location for the match was to be held at Jalan Besar Stadium but due to the success of ticket sales, the venue has been upgraded to the National Stadium at Singapore Sports Hub! Ticket sales have already surpassed the 20,000 mark and it won’t be long before the 25,000 quota is filled. Ticket prices have fortunately remained family friendly so get them now!!

In the meantime check out our video for the interview with Lee Sharpe where he talks about Van Gaal, his prediction on who will ¬†emerge victorious, the decline in Rooney’s form, Martial’s rise and much more!
